Hanging On 03:24
Well you were just right there, sitting in that chair A moment that kept me hangin on I've been so distracted, I meant to make it happen For moments that keep us hangin on Keep in mind, that there's time That there's time to make it better You and I, realize Realize that we know ourselves *2 I’m driving, I’m swerving I'm always in a hurry For moments that keep me hangin on I wish that I met you When I just cried for attention And moments that keep me hangin on Keep in mind, that there's time That there's time to make it better You and I, realize Realize that we know ourselves *2 When it comes back to ya*2 When it comes will you be hangin on When it comes back to ya*2 When it comes will you be hangin on Keep in mind, that there's time That there's time to make it better You and I, realize Realize that we know ourselves *2

I was born to tip the scale Turn rain on into hail But I’ll take the scenic route I got enough room for two I was born to push the time Give me one reason why That I should be able to Slow down for you Oh you thought you were alone with yourself Oh you thought you’d get along with yourself You thought you were alone You thought you were alone I was born to split the hairs Pick peaches from the pears But I’ll run away with you You got enough room for two I was born to miss the sign Give me one reason why That I should be able to Be mindful of you Oh you thought you were alone with yourself Oh you thought you’d get along with yourself You thought you were alone You thought you were alone

Paper Ribbon 03:17
Paper ribbon You’re wrapped so insecure This won’t hold you together anymore You’ve been once bitten And twice shy’s at the door Be aware with what enters ur world Cuz I know you wish that bow was wrapped tight Struggle to find the strength to act right Temptation calls but you won’t pick up the phone I know you wish that bow was wrapped tight Paper ribbon Your wrapped so insecure This won’t hold you together anymore The words were written And carved into the floor Lay the rug don’t bother anyone Cuz I know you wish that bow was wrapped tight Struggle to find the strength to act right Temptation calls but you won’t pick up the phone I know you wish that bow was wrapped tight

The day to day goes about the same The same picture but a different frame And all that you’ll need is some glue To hold and bind All your precious time That fades away each and every night That the face you put on is untrue Your standing there Feeling compromised Because you’ve done this every time And it feels like another deja vu Your staring at yourself again You separate the now and then And go and do what you always do You lied to You lied to yourself Again and again and again and again again And I know your feeling alone Again, and again and again and again again *2 You lied to You lied to yourself Again and again and again and again again

Radiator girl What is it you do You’re staring at the wall What are you going through Chirping at the birds With dilated eyes Looking at the world With no care in sight Your running down the hallway Ur peeking from the stairs Ur hiding in the kitchen You sneak up when we least expect it Radiator girl What is it you seek The water running wild The medleys at ur feet Stare into the sky You’ll never the know the sun Is that the reason why Your grinding down your thumbs Your running down the hallway Ur peeking from the stairs Ur hiding in the kitchen You sneak up when we least expect it

So i'm back to sleeping sideways I can’t tell how I feel today Well we made so much progress I don’t know why you walked away When I feel like I've accomplished everything I could You go and pull the rug Right from beneath my shoes Well you said you’d stay always, no matter how it gets And day to day we change the way we handle all the stress Well I’m back to sleeping sideways I don’t know how I feel today You know we’ll let the fan run Drown out the noise and the pain away When we’ve gone and felt that we’ve done all that we could We’ll keep on pushing and we’ll say all that we should Although I don’t know if you realize what you meant to me You never saw that bigger picture and everything it'd be Well I’m back to sleepin sideways ….

You made it You landed You’ll take it for granted You’ll stay un- -der cover There’s so much discover Oh you’ll grow to love The places you’ll go You paid for the show now You prayed for the showdown You struggled You loved her The late nights The cupboard Oh you’ll grow to love The places you’ll go So don't turn back don't turn back now Don't turn back don't turn back *3

I close my eyes and then I’ve lost control These tasty treats have gone and grasped my soul And now I’m gone Gone to flavortown Blueberry Os with a splash of juice Listen here have you heard the news Oh that I’ve gone Gone to flavortown When I get to secret snackin All I know is crunch I lurk and creep my way on down the hall I taste the taffy now I want it all And now I’ve gone Gone to flavor town When I get to secret snackin all I know is crunch

Move Along 03:55
I know that we’ve been bracing for a long time But that don’t change just how we feel today My heart it breaks in the time it takes to realize That you would want a smile on my face So move along To the best we know Move along Is what we’ll do Move along I can feel your pain Move along In this life that we’ve made We’ll take these days To think about the good times We’ll take the hurt And it fill it with the love we’ll find I don’t care Just how long it takes To come to terms With knowing that you don’t want us to feel this way So move along To the best we know Move along Is what we’ll do Move along Honey I can feel your pain Move along In this life that we’ve made

about

A life worth living is not without mistakes and learning from them. Exploring new ways of thinking and navigating past actions all lead Philadelphia singer Andrew Huston to writing and recording his best and most personal album yet: Outward Kid, out July 14th on Buzzer Beater Records.

Huston said that the album draws from “learning how to deal with death, finding the positives in grieving” and “growing into life rather than trying to dull it”. On Outward Kid, his fourth full length album and first since last year’s Off The Shelf, Huston writes about finding joy in every moment and speaking up for those who cannot advocate for themselves. Songs such as “Tip The Scale '' and opener “Hanging On” deal with battling the subconscious mind and coping with the death of loved ones, making this Huston’s darkest, most personal release to date.

Huston cut his teeth in several Philadelphia and Bucks County area bands (The Tisburys, Calico, The Describers) before striking out on his own with his first solo album Somewhere In Between in 2019. Outward Kid is his first true studio album, recorded at Sound Splitter Studio with Justin Nazario and mastered by Ian D.G. Bennett at Mission Control Mastering. The album includes contributions from Tyler Asay and Doug Keller of The Tisburys.

Outward Kid is out via Buzzer Beater Records on July 14th
